Sutro Wine Sonoma County

I’m so excited to share my collaboration with Alice and Sutro Wine. Sutro is a women owned brand with a story to tell and is a great representation of Sonoma County lifestyle and authenticity. Alice is the brain and wine producer behind the brand Sutro Wine. Her family has owned the Wamecke Ranch and vineyard since 1911, and just a few years ago Alice decided to continue family legacy. In 2010, Alice dedicated herself to wine making while maintaining her artistic side.

I had the pleasure to taste 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon and 2019 Sauvignon Blanc. The Cab has a unique minerality that I haven’t found in other Sonoma County wines. It’s bold and elegant with notes of cherry and chocolate. The Sav, on the other hand, is crisp and refreshing with notes of lemon and tropical fruit. It’s bright and well balanced, perfect for a summer day. Pro tip from Alice: pair your Sauvignon Blanc with a fresh sourdough, butter and oysters. Summer nights don’t get better than this.

One of the cool things they have happening this year, is the release of the Rosé Saignée from Cabernet Sauvignon. I mean, Rosé from Cab Sauv?! I’m so excited to try this untraditional take on Rosé!

Why Saignée is like no other Rosé?
